Start with your Data Analyst
Nate, Data Analyst — Finds the insight you missed. From hire to first useful output in an hour.
The steps
- What Nate is for — Nate turns your numbers into the insight you'd have missed: trends, anomalies, the digit that changed direction. Hire it when data exists but nobody reads it weekly.
- Your first messages — Copy these, fill the {blanks}, send them in this order — context first, then one concrete task:
> Here's last quarter's {sales/usage} export: {file}. What are the 3 things in here I most likely don't know?
> Build my weekly KPI digest: {metrics}. Lead with the biggest change and one line on why it moved.
> Which of our customers look like they're about to churn, and what's the pattern?
- Run these superpowers first — From the **Powers** tab — each one turns a short form into a finished document:
**Write the numbers report** — Pulls everything connected, spots what moved, and writes the commentary — not just the figures. (~9 min)
**Find out who is leaving** — Who drops off, when, and the signal that came before it. (~11 min)
**Read an A/B test** — Significance, verdict, and whether the test says what you think it says. (~5 min)
**Find where the funnel leaks** — Step by step, where people go, and what to fix first. (~9 min)
- Connect these when asked — The work will tell you when it needs a real account. For this role that's usually: Google Analytics, PostHog, Stripe, Shopify. Connect from the **Apps** tab the first time a task asks — not before.
- Put it on a rhythm — The weekly KPI digest every Monday morning, and a monthly deep-dive on the one question that matters most right now.
Schedules live on the **Agenda** tab; you can pause or edit them there.
