Quickstart
From nothing to a finished document an employee produced for you.
This page assumes you want to move fast and make your own choices. If you have never used OpenLabor at all, the lesson walks one single path end to end instead, and leaves you holding a real document.
Step 1: Create your workspace
Sign up at openlabor.ai/start, then answer the short qualification form. A workspace is reviewed before it is activated, so this is not a formality you can skip — the form is what unlocks the dashboard.
While you wait, describe your company in a few sentences. Everything your employees later write is shaped by that context, and it is the single highest-leverage thing you will type all week.
Step 2: Hire your first employee
Open the marketplace and pick a role. Each hire is a distinct employee with their own memory, files and connected apps.
Hire one, not six. An employee gets better as its memory fills, and six half-used employees learn nothing.
Step 3: Run a superpower
This is the first real output, and it should happen within minutes of hiring.
Open your employee, go to Powers, and pick one. Only superpowers that match the role are offered. Fill the short form and launch — you get back a finished document, not a chat reply.

Step 4: Connect the apps the work needs
Some superpowers refuse to launch without a connector, because a run with nothing to read would return a confident, empty report. Find the gaps in your help centre needs Intercom; Run a LinkedIn prospecting campaign needs LinkedIn.
Connect from the employee's Apps tab. Recommended apps never block a launch — they only sharpen the result.
Step 5: Stop being the one who starts it
Once a superpower earns its keep, take yourself out of the loop:
- A scheduled routine runs it on a clock — "every Monday at 9am".
- A trigger runs it when another system fires a webhook.
- A channel lets you start one from Telegram, a phone call, or the API instead of the dashboard.
